In line with its commitment to community service and humanitarian engagement , the community services club at Horizon University college (faculty members and a group of 20 students) participated in a volunteer service activity dedicated to supporting Gaza relief efforts. The initiative took place on 26 February 2026 at Ajman Co-operative.
The volunteer activity focused on packing humanitarian aid items intended for distribution to people affected by the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Upon arrival, the participants received a briefing from the on-site coordinators regarding their responsibilities and the packing procedures to ensure the aid packages were prepared efficiently and accurately.
Students were assigned to designated workstations where they assisted in arranging items, verifying quantities, and preparing the packages for distribution. The activity was conducted in a well-organized manner, allowing the volunteers to contribute effectively to the relief effort.
Throughout the session, the students demonstrated strong commitment, discipline, and teamwork. Their cooperation and effective time management ensured that the packing process proceeded smoothly while maintaining a high level of focus and efficiency.
This volunteer initiative provided students with a meaningful opportunity to contribute to humanitarian efforts while reinforcing values of compassion, responsibility, and social engagement. The activity also highlighted the importance of community collaboration in supporting global relief initiatives and assisting communities in need.
