Horizon University College successfully hosted the Hult Prize 2026 campus competition, bringing together student innovators to present sustainable business ideas aimed at addressing global challenges. The event was organized as an initiative by Dr. Ghassan, Vice President – Academic Operations, and was moderated by Dr. Karamath Ateeq.
The competition featured eight selected student teams who showcased innovative and impactful business concepts aligned with global sustainability goals. Each team presented solutions designed to tackle pressing issues while demonstrating entrepreneurial thinking and social responsibility.
Demonstrating exceptional creativity and impact, Nano Lifeline, led by team members Noor Ayman and Noha Fahim, emerged as the winners of the highly competitive campus round. Their project impressed the judges with its innovative approach and strong potential for real-world application, earning them a place in the Hult Prize Qualifiers stage.
The event served as a dynamic platform for students to strengthen their leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills while pitching purpose-driven ideas before industry experts and a distinguished panel of judges.
The Hult Prize is a globally recognized competition that challenges university students to develop for-profit startups addressing at least one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). By encouraging innovation and entrepreneurship, the initiative empowers young leaders to create solutions that can make a meaningful global impact. The international competition ultimately awards $1 million USD in seed funding to one winning team to bring their idea to life.
