Team South Africa Clinches Gold at 10th Diplomat Cricket Championship Hosted by Horizon University College
This Tournament is under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Abdul Aziz Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi and as approved by the Ajman Cricket Council. The Tournament is played as per the ECB DCDC regulations and in compliance to ECB Code of Conduct.
Ajman, UAE – February 16, 2026 – Horizon University College in Ajman witnessed an electrifying display of sportsmanship and diplomacy as teams from various Consulate Generals came together for the 10th Diplomat Cricket Championship 2026, held at Karwan Sports Centre on February 14, 2026.
Horizon University College successfully hosted the championship, bringing together international teams in a vibrant tournament that celebrated sportsmanship, friendship, and the unifying spirit of cricket.
The championship featured competitive matches among teams representing South Africa, Pakistan, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Sri Lanka, and Afghanistan, creating an exciting atmosphere throughout the tournament. As the competition progressed, the semi-final stage delivered intense encounters, with Pakistan facing the United Kingdom and South Africa competing against Afghanistan, setting the stage for a highly anticipated final.
The tournament concluded with a thrilling championship match decided on the very last ball, where Team South Africa secured the title, while Team Pakistan finished as runners-up after an impressive performance across the competition.
